Q. What is my EcoDNA?

My EcoDNA uses your answers to an easy to complete questionnaire to generate your personal EcoDNA profile. This is a unique visual way to understand, and share your approach to reducing environmental impact and contributing to your local community.

Q. Why should I generate my EcoDNA profile?

A. By generating your EcoDNA profile you can :
see instantly were you can reduce your environmental impact or improve your community contribution provide us with the information we need to give you with tailored support and advice join a network of people like you who are interested in sharing advice and ideas about the environment.

Q. Will it cost me anything to develop my EcoDNA profile or to use this site?

A. No my EcoDNA is a totally free service, in fact if you follow the actions we recommend you may even save money!

Q. Do I have to know a lot about the environment to take part?

A. No everybody can benefit from my EcoDNA, whether you know nothing about environmental issues, or you are an expert who wants to share your successes and discuss issues with other experts.

FAQ Completing the questionnaire

Q. What information do I need to complete the questionnaire?

A. You do not need to prepare anything to complete the questionnaire we will guide you through a series of questions about your lifestyle and environmental and community habits.

Q. Do I have to complete the questionnaire in one go?

A. No when you leave the questionnaire we will save your answers so you can just go back in and carry on where you left off.

Q. Can I regenerate my EcoDNA profile if I have changed my level of environmental activity?

A. Yes you can regenerate your EcoDNA at any time by simply changing your answers to the questionnaire. In fact we would actively encourage you to do this so that you can share your up to date profile with other EcoDNA members.

Q. If I change my level of activity do I have to complete the whole questionnaire again?

A. No the system will store your answers, so simply revisit the actions you have changed.

FAQ Taking action

Q. How can I improve my EcoDNA profile?

A. By completing the questionnaire we are able to identify a list of positive actions you can take to reduce your environmental impact, or improve your local community.

Q. What if I have already taken those actions or do not want to do them?

A. You can select the actions that are right for you from our suggested list to make your own personal commitment plan.

Q. How can I get additional actions in my action list?

A. At the moment, this is not possible. Sorry.

Q. Apart from the actions what else can I do?

A. You will be able to check out the latest environmental news, and share your ideas, successes and issues with other MyEcoDNA members and experts.

FAQ Joining the MyEcoDNA community

Q. I do not want to share my EcoDNA profile, how do I keep it private?

A. Once your profile is generated you will have the option to share it with other members. If you want to use the profile simply for your own environmental development do not select the share option.

Q. How do I add my EcoDNA profile to me Facebook account?

A. We are working on providing a widget. We will let our members know when this is ready.
